Undefined in southern Germany

Photography was already a topic for Martin Kommer as a child. It started with compact cameras, slides and finally a Minolta APS camera. In the digital age, he wanted to keep it small and handy, so he opted for Pentax. Over the course of time, he became increasingly interested in photographic niches and fell in love with photography outside the visible range. The first IR-capable camera, a K100D super, eventually became obsolete and was replaced by an undefined rebuilt K-r. The modern sensor also allows high ISOs and delivers excellent image quality. In combination with a few older manual lenses, a great field for experimentation!

These pictures were taken in southern Germany with a Heliopan RG645 screw-on filter. As the filter allows little visible light to pass through and the optical viewfinder remains virtually dark, the camera's LiveView was actually used all the time. The framing, exposure and focus are always right with this technique. A UV filter is also available for further experiments, which opens a whole host of other doors. A stronger infrared filter, around 830 nm, is also already on the wish list. This allows even more powerful B/W infrared images than is possible with the Heliopan RG645. Even if it is a little bit at the expense of handling, there is almost nothing that is not possible with an undefined converted camera.
