Powerbank Mount for Tripod

Description

A significant disadvantage of modern mirrorless cameras compared to their DSLR predecessors is battery life. In most „typical“ scenarios, you simply pack two or three spare batteries and swap them out as soon as one runs out. However, this isn't always possible when continuous shooting is necessary. Typically, the time interval for time-lapse recordings must not be interrupted, and with astrophotography, the camera shouldn't be touched either.

To extend battery life and power additional accessories like star trackers or lens warmers, a power bank is typically used. This works excellently with many current cameras. Less ideal is attaching the power bank with a small bag to the tripod (the wind shakes it and the USB ports are often inaccessible) or placing it on the ground (keywords: wet grass, cable too short).

Therefore, we designed tripod mounts that easily clip onto the tripod leg and securely hold the power bank at an easily accessible height. The mounts are 100% % made from recycled plastic and are designed to be modular. The power bank mounts consist of two parts that can be easily interchanged if you switch tripods or power banks.

• The leg clip is available for round tripod legs with a diameter between 18 and 40 mm. If you have a tripod with a special leg geometry, please contact us. We will offer you a suitable solution at no additional cost.
• The shell itself is available in three universal sizes that should cover most common devices. However, we can also produce shells for special power banks. Two special shells are already available. If you are interested, please contact us. In this case as well, we will offer a suitable solution for your power bank at no additional cost.

Both parts are delivered disassembled and can be connected with a simple hand movement. To disconnect them later and replace one of the components, only a simple screwdriver or another narrow, sturdy tool is required. The power bank mounts are available for order in our shop immediately.
