With our LaserAdapter you can align your tripod very quickly and easily to the North Star. After alignment, the LaserAdapter can simply be removed and the tracking system installed in the tripod's quick-release base. Particularly for landscape shots with wide-angle lenses, this enables sufficiently precise alignment of the tripod for exposure times of several minutes.
If an even more precise alignment of a large mount is required, you have a very good starting point thanks to the pre-alignment and can carry out the fine alignment with the polar scope without having to search for the North Star star for a long time.
The LaserAdapter is available for various quick-release systems (for Arca-Swiss, Manfrotto or Dovetail/Vixen) in 0° (parallel) and 90° (perpendicular) orientation. Simply select the right adapter for your application. The LaserAdapters are made from 100% recycled plastic using a 3D printing process. They are dimensionally stable up to at least 60°C and are naturally UV-resistant. Each LaserAdapter has 2 positions:
- Safety position (to “0”): The laser can be transported in the backpack without accidentally switching it on. Moving the slide switch cannot activate it.
- Active position (to “I”): The laser can be switched on and off by adjusting the slide switch. In this position, the laser cannot be pulled out of the laser adapter.
The laser adapters do not work with every laser pointer on the market, they have been specially designed for a laser pointer. The Legamaster brand laser pointer has a high-quality, robust metal housing and is powered by 2 AAA batteries (included). It contains a green laser of laser class II (according to EU regulation with max. 1 mW power) which is clearly visible at night.
CAUTION: The laser is not a toy and you must never deliberately look into the laser or point the laser at other people. Prolonged eye contact can cause irreversible damage to the eye.
