Description

You buy a fully-equipped camera with maximum sensitivity to UV, visible light and infrared light.

The camera is a used device that has been modified. The camera is equipped with a full-spectrum filter (280 nm) that ensures the maximum sensitivity of the sensor across all spectral ranges (approx. 330 to 1,200 nm).

Visually, the camera has clearly visible signs of wear on the casing. Both displays show fine scratches that are clearly visible against the light. The readability of the displays is not affected. For the general condition and regarding the signs of wear, please also take a look at the photos.

Technically, the camera works at 100%; the number of exposures is approximately 39,000. You receive 1 year warranty on the camera.

Note camera functions: A DSLR converted to full spectrum usually uses an infrared filter in front of the lens. Unfortunately, this has the disadvantages that you can no longer see anything in the viewfinder, the exposure measurement does not work, and the AF does not work. To overcome all three limitations, the camera’s LiveView must be used.

Note White Balance: With practically all Nikon cameras, the white balance cannot be set correctly in the camera. Depending on the lighting situation and filter, manual white balance in the camera is not possible and returns an error message (the problem also occurs with the InfraBlue filter). The white balance can be set to 2500K with color correction, but a clear magenta color cast usually remains in the image. When photographing in RAW (recommended), however, this does not matter because the white balance can be set correctly on the PC. Photographing black and white JPEGs in the camera is also possible without any problems.
