Deep Space and Cygnus Nebula Region

A contribution by David Hajnal Very special images are possible at night thanks to an astro conversion and extended red sensitivity. This does not necessarily require a telescope, as David Hajnal impressively demonstrates. He pointed his astromodified Sony A7 (Astronomik L2 filter) at the constellation Cygnus with 75 mm or 135 mm and took these impressive pictures.

Analog and digital Infrared Photography - lumaho magazine

Analog and digital infrared photography have a lot in common, and yet they couldn't be more different in so many ways. Manfred Hofmann knows both sides of infrared photography. He is the author of the magazine lumaho, which is published around twice a year. The first issue of 2021 deals exclusively with infrared photography, from both a digital and analog perspective.

    Exhibition Jacques Kohler

Exhibition '> 660NM' in Erlangen, Middle Franconia from 4.5. - 26.6.2017 After my first exhibition last year, I was looking for a new theme. Since I had a Nikon 1 converted to infrared at the beginning of 2015, the topic of infrared was predestined for it. Due to Nikon's internals on the sensor (which have been...

    Darius Ortmann

Like so many others, Darius Ortmann fell in love with infrared photography. However, it was a long road from the decision to have an unused camera converted to the first good pictures and there was a lot to learn. Looking back, he talks about his experiences today: Like many other photographers, I still have old...
